I first saw this simple Sweet and Sour Chicken recipe on Made it.Ate it.Loved it. ...thought it not only sounded delicious but looked delicious as well...let me tell you

We Made it. We Ate it. We LOVED it.

I know you will too...so here we go:

Sweet and Sour Chicken Recipe:

Breaded Chicken

3 Boneless Chicken Breast
3/4 Cup Cornstarch
1 Egg beaten
Sea Salt and Pepper

Cut your chicken in to small bits and season with sea salt and pepper. Pour your cornstarch in to a ziploc bag, to that add in your chicken bits and SHAKE, SHAKE, SHAKE ...feel free to get right into it, dance around your kitchen, shake that booty...get down with your bad self (trust me I do...BabyBear thinks its hilarious) Do this until your chicken is fully covered in white powder goodness.

Once your chicken is fully powdered it is time to crack open that egg and lay the beat down. Toss your chicken pieces into the egg and coat them again. While your chicken is having an egg facial it is a good time to heat up some oil in your frying pan.

Pour your egg covered chicken in to your fry pan and cook it until toasty brown. Then place it in a 9x9 baking dish and heat up your oven to a toasty warm 350ยบ.

While your oven is warming up to temperature now is the time to get going on the sauce for the chicken.

Chicken Sauce

3/4 Cup Sugar
4 Tablespoons Ketchup
1/2 Cup Vinegar
1 Tablespoon Soy Sauce
1 Teaspoon Garlic Powder

Combine all your ingredients and whisk until smooth.

Pour this sauce over the chicken and stir to combine, making sure to cover it completely. Then place the saucy chicken in to the oven for 15 minutes at which point you will want to stir your chicken thoroughly before placing it back in the heat for a final 15 minutes of cooking.

Feel free to pair this chicken up with a small stir fry of mushrooms, peppers and onions...as well as a helping of hot rice and garnish with some green onions...DELICIOUS!
